The Sunrise PTA is a very active, integral part of our school. The purpose of the organization is to promote the lines of communication and to work to provide program functions and services for the supplemental educational needs of our students. We encourage parents, teachers, and staff members to be active participating members! |

PTA
Fundraisers are the way by which PTA will have its working capital for
special programs and events. In the 2007-2008 school year, PTA raised over
$22,000 to support such
programs as Sunshine Math Enrichment, AR Points Store, and Mad Scientist. Please be on the lookout for flyers announcing our fundraisers and participate in any way that you can. Bring the fundraiser order forms to your work, family events, or neighborhood events to support your child’s efforts. Talk to your child about the importance of being safe while selling the products. Remind your child NEVER to go door to door without an adult’s supervision. |
Fall Festival
| The Fall Festival is a fun event for the entire family and a major PTA fundraiser. To pull off such a major affair we need your help! Whether you have fantastic ideas and would like to be involved in the planning process, or just want to help out for a few hours on the night of the event, we would love your help. Please e-mail PTA President * Suzie Salyers or Vice President * Gail Imbornoni. |

| The
Partners in Education program links businesses and organizations with
schools in relationships that enhance student learning and promote school
improvement. In a partnership, a business adopts a school, or schools, and
shares its human and material resources. Education and business are so closely related that each flourishes from the support and prosperity of the other. Schools must prepare today's students for their entry into a diverse, competitive work force. When businesses take part in the education of these young people, they help strengthen the work force of the future. The Partners in Education program is vital in helping the community and the school system work and grow together. If you are a local business that is interested in pursuing a partnership with Sunrise Elementary, please contact * Cari Mason, the school's Partners in Education coordinator. |
